Description
Calycanthus floridus, sometimes called the Carolina Allspice, is a deciduous shrub with rich, spicy-scented flowers appearing in late spring or early summer. Its aromatic blooms bring a unique addition to gardens.
This shrub adapts well to both sun and partial shade and appreciates moist, well-drained soil. It can be an excellent choice for mixed borders or woodland-style gardens.
